Shoes take more daily wear than almost anything else we own. Dust, mud, scuffs and odour build up quickly, and the wrong cleaning method can damage glue, colour or materials. Our shoe cleaning service refreshes your footwear using methods matched to what each pair is made from.

About This Service

We start by identifying the materials: canvas, mesh, leather, suede, nubuck or synthetic. Each needs a different cleaning approach, and shoes often combine several materials in one pair.

After cleaning, shoes are dried properly and finished, for example with conditioning for leather or brushing for suede.

Before You Book: Care Considerations

  • Remove insoles and laces if you can, or let us know if they should stay in place.
  • Shoes held together with glue can weaken with age; we check for separating soles before cleaning.
  • Deep stains in mesh and white midsoles, and yellowing from age, may only improve partly.
  • Do not dry wet shoes in direct sunlight or on a heater; it can warp materials and crack leather.

    Uppers, soles and glue lines are inspected.

  2. Dry brushing

    Loose dirt and dust are removed.

  3. Material-appropriate cleaning

    Each part of the shoe is cleaned with a suitable method.

  4. Drying & finishing

    Shoes are dried properly, then conditioned or brushed as needed.

Please note

Shoe cleaning does not include repairs such as re-soling or stitching unless separately confirmed. Age-related yellowing, deep-set stains, worn suede and sole separation may not be fully fixable through cleaning.

Can suede shoes be cleaned?

Yes, with suede-appropriate methods. Suede should not be soaked; it is cleaned carefully and brushed to restore the nap.

Will cleaning make my white sneakers fully white again?

Cleaning usually improves them a lot, but age-related yellowing and deep-set stains may not be fully removed.
