About This Service

Steam relaxes fibres so wrinkles release with less direct pressure, which is kinder to many fabrics than a dry iron. Temperature and pressure are adjusted for each fabric, from crisp cotton shirts to lighter synthetics.

Pressed garments are hung or folded carefully so they stay smart on the way home.

Before You Book: Care Considerations

  • Steam ironing is for clean clothes. Ironing over sweat or stains can set them, so choose laundry or dry cleaning first if an item is soiled.
  • Tell us if you prefer creases in trousers or a soft finish without them.
  • Some synthetic, printed and embellished fabrics need very low heat or steam only; we will handle them accordingly.

    Each item is checked for fabric type and any heat-sensitive details.

  2. Steaming

    Steam relaxes the fibres and releases wrinkles.

  3. Pressing

    Collars, cuffs, pleats and creases are pressed into shape.

  4. Hanging or folding

    Garments are hung or folded to keep them crisp.

Please note

Ironing does not clean clothes or remove stains. Very deep creases set into some synthetic fabrics may not fully release, and heat-sensitive prints or embellishments may need a gentler finish than standard pressing.

Steam Ironing Questions

Do you iron clothes that have not been washed?

We recommend ironing only clean clothes. Heat can set stains and odours into fabric, so soiled items are better sent for laundry or dry cleaning first.

Can you press sarees?

Yes. Cotton and synthetic sarees can be steam pressed. Silk and heavily embellished sarees are better handled through our saree dry cleaning service.

Is steam ironing better than regular ironing?

For many fabrics, yes. Steam releases wrinkles with less direct heat and pressure, which reduces the risk of shine or scorching.
