Wedding Dress, Lehenga & Bridal Wear Cleaning

Wedding outfits are worn for one of the most important days of your life, and they often come back with signs of a long celebration: hems that have touched the floor, food and drink spills, make-up and perspiration. Bridal wear also tends to be the most delicate clothing anyone owns, with layers of net, heavy embroidery, stones and beadwork.

About This Service

Every bridal outfit is inspected in detail before we suggest a cleaning approach. We look at the fabrics, linings, embroidery and every embellishment, and explain what can be done and any risks involved.

Cleaning is carried out with extra care around delicate work, followed by careful finishing. We also share practical advice on storing the outfit so it stays in good condition for years.

What We Clean

  • Wedding gowns and veils
  • Bridal and party lehengas
  • Sherwanis and achkans
  • Anarkalis and heavy suits
  • Embroidered dupattas
  • Reception and engagement outfits

Before You Book: Care Considerations

  • Bring the outfit in as soon as possible after the event. Invisible spills, such as sugary drinks and perspiration, can oxidise and turn yellow or brown over time.
  • Tell us about any alterations, repairs or previous cleaning.
  • Stones, sequins or decorations fixed with glue may loosen during any cleaning process. We will point out vulnerable areas before we start.
  • Store bridal wear away from direct light and damp, in breathable covers rather than plastic.

Our Process

  1. Consultation & inspection

We examine fabrics, embroidery and embellishments with you and agree on an approach.

  2. Targeted pre-treatment

Hems, underarms and visible marks are treated carefully.

  3. Gentle cleaning

The outfit is cleaned using a method chosen for its fabrics and decoration.

  4. Finishing

Steaming and pressing are done with care around delicate work.

  5. Packing & storage advice

The outfit is packed carefully, with advice on long-term storage.

Please note

Because bridal wear combines many materials, some marks may not fully lift and some embellishments may be fragile. Old yellowing, dye migration and damage to net or lace cannot always be reversed. We will be clear about what is realistic before cleaning begins.

FAQs

Wedding Dress Cleaning Questions

How soon after the wedding should I clean my outfit?

As soon as you can. Spills that seem invisible can darken over time, and they are easier to treat when they are fresh.

Can heavily embroidered lehengas be cleaned?

In most cases, yes, with suitable care. We inspect the embroidery and embellishments first and explain any risks before cleaning.

How should I store my wedding outfit?

Keep it clean, dry and away from direct sunlight, in a breathable fabric cover or acid-free tissue rather than plastic.
